Biography
Born on October 28, 1928 in a Serbluzhitsky peasant family in the village of Koslov. In 1939 he graduated from a public school in the village of Rozhenets, after which he studied until 1944 in gymnasiums in Würzburg and Dresden. In 1944-1945 he fought in the Volkssturm detachments. From 1946 to 1951 he continued his studies in various gymnasiums. I passed the exam for secondary education at the Higher Serboluzhitsky school in Budishin . In 1951 he entered the journalism department of the Karl Marx University in Leipzig , from which he graduated in 1954. From 1954 to 1958 he was the editor of the Serbo-Luzhitsa newspaper Nowa doba and the Serboluzhsky editorial office on the local radio. From 1958 to 1976 he worked as a lecturer at the Domovina cultural and educational organization. From 1976 to 1981 he was the head of the Serboluzhitsky folk ensemble "Wjelbik" in Budyshyn. From 1981 to 1990 he worked in the editorial office of the magazine " Rozhlad ".
Retired, from 1990 to December 2006, he wrote the Swět a cyrkej (Peace and Church) column in the Serbske Nowiny daily, which was published every Tuesday.
He died on October 27, 2011 in Krostwitz. He was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in Budyshyn.
