Genna [1] [2] or Genva [3] [4] [2] ( 元 和 Genna , the beginning of consent) is the motto of the reign ( nengo ) of the Japanese emperor Go-Mizunoo [4] [2] , used from 1615 to 1624 year [2] [5] .

- 30th day of the 2nd moon of the 10th year of Gann (according to the Gregorian calendar - April 17, 1624).
Origin
Nengo is an adapted version of the reign of the Chinese emperor Xian-zong 's reign “Yuan-he” ( Chinese 元 和 , pinyin : Yuán hé , literally: “original harmony”) [5] .

- 1st year of Gann ( 1615 ):
- Tokugawa Ieyasu and his son, the Hidetada shogun, moved again to Osaka Castle , captured him and burned him; however Toyotomi Hideyori managed to escape to Satsuma , where he prepared the shelter in advance [7] ;
- 9th day of the 7th moon ( September 1, 1615 ) - Ieyasu destroyed the Hokoku-jinja temple [8] ;
- 2nd year of Gann ( 1616 ):
- 17th day of the 4th moon ( June 1, 1616 ) - Ieyasu died in the province of Suruga [7] ;
- 3rd year of Gann ( 1617 ):
- 26th day of the 8th moon ( September 25, 1617 ) - the former emperor Go-Yozei passed away; he was buried in Nikko [7] ;
- 4th year of Gann ( 1617 ):
- 8th moon - a comet was seen in the sky [7] ;
- 6th year of Gann ( 1620 ):
- The 30th day of the 2nd moon ( April 2, 1620 ) and the 4th day of the 3rd moon ( April 6, 1620 ) - large fires in Miyako [7] ;
- 6th day of the 6th moon ( July 5, 1620 ) - the emperor married Tokugawa Kazuko, daughter of the shogun Hidetada [9] ;
- The 9th year of Gann ( 1623 ):
- 12th day of the 8th moon ( September 6, 1623 ) - the shogunate increased deductions for the maintenance of the imperial court by 10 00 koku [8] ;
- Tokugawa Iemitsu , the son of Hidetad, appeared at the emperor’s court, where he was named the shogun [7] ;
