Elena Mikhailovna Serdyuk (born August 11, 1957 , Kiev [1] ) - Ukrainian historian, candidate of historical sciences [2] , museum worker. Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine . General Director of the National Reserve "Sofia Kievskaya" (June 2012 - January 19, 2015). Member of the NUAU (1993). Member of the Supervisory Board of the National Kiev-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve [3] . Member of ICOMOS UKRAINE [4] .

Biography
In 1979 she graduated from the History Department of the Kiev State Pedagogical Institute [5] . The topic of the dissertation is “Historical features of the formation of housing in Kiev in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries. and modern principles of its protection ” [6] .
Since 1998, she was the Director General of the Kiev Scientific and Methodological Center for the Protection, Restoration and Use of Monuments of History, Culture and Protected Areas. She initiated the creation of the database “Monuments of Kiev” and the program “Kiev Necropolis” [7] .
She took part (as part of the official delegation of Ukraine) in the 36th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee [8]
From June 2012 to January 19, 2015 she worked as the General Director of the Sofia Kievskaya National Reserve .
