In 1836 she married Joseph de Clairon, Viscount d'Osonville (count 1846), married with whom she had three children. During a trip to Italy, the couple d'Osonville met Dominic Ingres , who headed the French Academy in Rome . In the first half of the 1840s, Paris Ingres painted a portrait of Louise, which became one of his most famous works.
Louise de Broglie was the author of several historical and literary works; her fame was brought by the biography of the famous Ireland freedom fighter Robert Emmett . The Countess d'Ossonville is also famous for her “family ties” with the French Academy , as she was the daughter, sister, wife and mother of four academics [1] [2] [3] [4] .
