Biography
The cast was born on August 25, 1833, in the family of the rector of the Lutheran parish, Gandri Brosk, in the Serbo-Puddle village of Maleševice. He studied at the gymnasiums of Budishin and Zhitava . From 1856 to 1859 he studied at the theological faculty of the University of Leipzig . At the same time he was a member of the student brotherhood " Sorabia ". After graduating from the University of Leipzig, he was for some time a candidate for ordination to the priesthood. In 1861 he was appointed rector in a Lutheran parish in the village of Krshysovskaya. He was in this position for forty years until 1902, when he was transferred to Zhitava. In 1907 he was transferred to Goerlitz (Zhorjelec).
From 1860 to 1888 he was a member of the Serbo-Luga cultural and educational organization “ Matica Serbs ”.
Literary activity
He was engaged in translations into the Lower Luzhsk language of German spiritual and lyrical poetry. He published his works in the church magazine “ Pomhaj Bóh ” and “Misionski Posoł”. In 1872 he published a collection of his translations and his own poems entitled Ćiche chwile při božej studničce.
