Sports Biography
Jacqueline Burner in 1987 became the bronze medalist of the European Championship, in 1989 she again became the bronze medalist. In 1990, she became the world champion and took second place in Europe, and also won the 1500 meters World Cup . In August of this year, she was hit by a car and injured. At the 1992 Olympics, she became an Olympic champion at a distance of 1,500 meters, defeating Gunda Niman by 0.05 seconds. She completed her sports career in 1996.
