Geography
The area of the statistically isolated area is 229 km², of which 228.2 km² is land and 0.7 km² is open water.
Population
According to the 2000 census, the population of the statistically isolated area was 2030 people [1] . Racial composition: white - 91.38%; African Americans - 0.44%; Native Americans - 3.55%; Asians - 0.79%; residents of the Pacific Islands - 0.20%; representatives of other races - 0.69% and representatives of two or more races - 2.96%. 1.67% of the population are Hispanic of all races.
Of the 663 households, 45.4% raised children under the age of 18, 64.1% were couples living together; 6.2% - women living without husbands and 23.2% did not have a family. 17.0% of the total number of families at the time of the census lived independently, while 2.6% were single elderly people aged 65 years and older. On average, 3.04 people live in households, and the average family size is 3.44 people.
The proportion of people under the age of 18 is 34.0%; persons over 65 years old - 3.7%. The average age of the population is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 108.6 males; for every 100 females age 18 and over, 114.4 males.
Economics
