Siegburg is the capital of the Rhine-Sieg district. Located on the right side of the Rhine, 26 km from Cologne and 10 km from Bonn, on the banks of the rivers Agger and Sieg. The population is 39,746 people ( as of December 31, 2010 ) [1] . It covers an area of 23.47 km².
The first settlements on the outskirts of today's Siegburg arose between 1000 and 500 BC. e, which was confirmed by historical finds.

Transport
The city has a railway station where ICE high-speed trains - 42, 43, 45, 49, 79, regional express RE-9, S-Bahn trains S-12, 19 stop. Also, the station is the final route of 66, 67 Stadtbana Bonn . The Stadtbahn line connects the city with Bonn.
