Knox ( born Knox , march. Ņadikdik [ɳˠɑɑ̯r̪ʲi͡ɯɡ (ɯ͡i) r̪ʲi͡ɯk] ) is the southernmost atoll in the Ratak chain ( Marshall Islands ). It consists of 18 islands, as well as numerous occasionally appearing and disappearing islets. The total area of the atoll is 0.98 km², the adjacent lagoon , largely covered with sand, also occupies 3.42 km².
