The text is a free translation of the song “ Robert De Niro's Waiting ” by the group “ Bananarama ” [1] , performed in February 1984 and occupying the 4th line in the UK Singles Chart [2] for a long time. Also, the song was included in the studio album " Prince of Silence " (third song) and in the concert recordings of " Rise " and "No One No Cabel" (part 1) . The song became one of the business cards of the Nautilus Pompilius band. In 1988, a clip was presented for this composition, which was a cut from the filming of the group in the studio and fragments from the film by Alexei Balabanov “ It used to be a different time ” [3] .

Among his friends, Slava unexpectedly announced that he wanted to give Ilya a new song for his birthday. Three months remained before his birthday, but these were the details. Then for the first time it turned out that "Alain Delon does not drink cologne." Hearing the song performed by Butusov, Kormiltsev terribly cheered up and jumped out onto the balcony, where Pifa (Komarov) lived a mannequin named Fedor ... Without thinking twice, Ilya grabbed Fedor in an armful and threw him off the third floor. The people wandering nearby were dumbfounded by a spectacle unprecedented in these parts. Before their eyes, almost a natural person flew out of the window, straight into the sky. Here Pifa, Butusov and Kormilcev with a laughter jumped out into the street and with lamentations “Caution, Caution! Do not cling to the door with your feet! ”They dragged Fedor into the entrance.

The meaning of the song
The song describes the life of a girl whose only meaning in life is her idol, Alain Delon .
The essence of our story is removed in the songs from the album “Separation”, and in the song “View from the screen” and “Shackled in one chain”, the state of the curtain, mutual responsibility, in which the person is limited (in the historical context, the Soviet person), becomes obvious. In the song “View from the Screen”, the spheres here directly collide - gloomy life and the feeling there - of a beautiful real being.
The trick was that Ilya wrote a “light” text about a stupid girl from high-rise neighborhoods, whose only consolation in the middle of the phantasmagoria of proletarian life was a photograph on the wall.

Cover Version
A cover version of the song was performed by Vopli Vidoplyasova for the 2009 Nau Boom tribute . The peculiarity of this cover version is that it was translated into French and performed in an unusual arrangement for Nautilus (in particular, an accordion was added) [6] . The cover was also released on the band's Lado album.
