History

In ancient times, on the territory of the village of Dubrovo there was a monastery in the name of the great martyr Theodore of Tiron . In troubled times, this monastery was ruined. In 1620, on the site of the former monastery, a wooden church was built in the name of the Protection of the Holy Virgin . In 1820, a new wooden church with a bell tower was built in the village instead of the old one. In 1913, the construction of a brick church was begun [3] , but the First World War and the October Revolution prevented the completion of all work.
