In September 2015, Artyom Avetisyan became the owner of 100% of the shares and the president of Uniastrum Bank ^[3] .

The Chairman of the Management Board is Tsytovich Alla Vadimovna ^[4] .

Previously, the Bank of Cyprus owned an 80% stake in Uniastrum Bank, Gagik Zakaryan and George Piskov each 10% ^[5] .

As of May 2009, the bank’s retail network included 209 main offices, 42 branches, 155 additional offices, 13 operating cash desks located in all major regions of Russia. Member of the mandatory deposit insurance system .

2003 - a branch of Uniastrum Bank in Perm was opened.

2004 - A branch was opened in Novosibirsk .

2006 - Uniastrum Bank received the status of an authorized bank of the Government of Moscow. Branches were opened in Murmansk , Arkhangelsk , Cheboksary , Smolensk and Kursk .

2007 - the first specialized mortgage lending center of Uniastrum Bank was opened in Moscow, branches were opened in Kirov and Khabarovsk .

2008 - October 31, 2008 the Bank of Cyprus completed the acquisition of 80% stake in CB Uniastrum Bank (LLC). According to the Kommersant newspaper, in the framework of the transaction, the main owners of the bank, Georgy Piskov and Gagik Zakaryan , sold 40% of the shares, retaining 10% of the shares and retaining the posts of chairman and president ^[6] .

On July 3, 2008, Uniastrum Bank became the winner of the “Best Russian Brand” award. ^[7]

According to the decision of the general meeting of participants of the bank dated November 21, 2008, the sole participant in the bank is Bok Russia (Holdings) Limited, a limited liability company, a subsidiary of the Bank of Cyprus. At the same meeting, it was decided to increase the bank’s charter capital by 1.2 billion rubles ($ 50 million) to 3.8 billion rubles.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation included Uniastrum Bank in the list of 52 credit organizations that meet the requirements for having an international rating of the appropriate level, guarantees of which can be used to provide loans to the Bank of Russia.

A general agreement was concluded between the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation and the bank on the allocation of federal budget funds to bank deposits. Based on this agreement, CB Uniastrum Bank (LLC) received the right to attract budget funds from the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation at auctions held by it.

After the depreciation of shares of the Uniastrum Bank common banking management units (OFBU) on September 29, 2008 ^[8] and the subsequent appeals of shareholders to the Federal Service for Financial Markets (FFMS), the FFMS suspended the license of Uniastrum Bank for securities management activities ^{[9 ]} . The basis for this was a series of gross violations of securities laws discovered by the FSFM ^[10] . Later, the license was renewed ^[11] , but with some restrictions - in particular, it is forbidden to conclude new agreements on accession to the OFBU.

2009 - February 24, 2009 the Moscow government extended the status of “authorized bank of the Moscow government” for 18 months, which allows the bank to participate in many targeted programs of the Moscow government.

In April 2009, Uniastrum Bank was accredited by the Deposit Insurance Agency as an agent bank for the payment of insurance indemnities to depositors.

Since 2001, the bank began to actively engage in urgent money transfers. The translation system was called Unistream . Over time, it began to occupy a significant share in the bank's activities and was spun off into a separate organization under the management of KB Unistream OJSC. The organization is controlled by the same people as Uniastrum - Zakaryan and Piskov.

2017 - ceased operations on January 20, was merged with the Vostochny Express Bank bank ^[12] .

In February 2019, Moscow’s Basmanny Court detained in connection with the initiation of a criminal case against the founder of Baring Vostok Capital Partners Michael Kalvi, Artyom Avetisyan, was charged with withdrawing funds under the guise of fictitious transactions from Uniastrum Bank before its merger with Vostochny Bank ^{[13] [14]} . The case is pending in an arbitration court in London ^[15] .
