Together with Luzhin F.F. in 1719-21 he participated in a secret expedition. The purpose of this expedition was to determine whether there is a strait between Asia and North America. The expedition could not answer the question of the existence of the strait. However, she more accurately determined the outlines of the coast of Kamchatka , relatively correctly showed the direction of the Kuril ridge . The map of Evreinov for the first time is based on instrumental shooting.
