Geography
The village is located 35 kilometers from the city of Borovichi at Lake Sheregodra . Here is the Museum-Reserve of A.V. Suvorov .
History
The village arose on the grounds of the palace order near Lake Sheregodra after the Time of Troubles , when many Karelians moved from the territories that were transferred to Sweden under the Stolbovsky Peace Treaty of 1617 .
In the XVIII-XIX centuries, the village was a tribal estate of the Suvorovs . The village, along with other villages, was acquired in 1763 by Vasily Ivanovich Suvorov , the father of the great Russian commander A.V. Suvorov . Previously, it belonged to Elizaveta Petrovna , and then in 1762 the village was granted the “perpetual possession” of the Hofmeister A. K. Vorontsova , but she immediately sold it along with the peasants “for their self-will and other reasons” to Lieutenant General I. I. Shuvalov .
Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov was in the village three times: in the winter of 1784 , in the spring of 1786 and in 1797 - 1799 , serving a link.
The village was considered the volost center of Konchansky volost of Borovichi district of the Novgorod province , and in 1927-1932 it was the center of Konchansky district .
During the years of collectivization, the visiting editorial board of the Krasnaya Iskra regional newspaper founded a collective farm in the village, calling it the name of the newspaper [2] .
There is a monument to Suvorov in the village; it was erected on December 22, 1940 , on the 150th anniversary of the capture of Izmail. And on October 25, 1942, the A.V. Suvorov House-Museum was opened, which laid the foundation for the A.V. Suvorov Museum-Reserve .
In 1950, the village of Konchanskoye was renamed Konchanskoye-Suvorov.
Amendments were made to Article 3 of the Regional Law No. 373-OZ dated December 22, 2004 “On Establishing the Borders of Municipalities Included in the Territory of the Borovichi Municipal District, Giving them the Status of Urban and Rural Settlements and Determining Administrative Centers”, replacing the words “Konchan-Suvorov” the words "Konchansko-Suvorov."
