Biography

N.F. Kuznetsova was born in the family of a military pilot.

In 1943-1945, without interruption from school, she served as a telegraph officer in the headquarters of the Air Force, first of the Central Asian, and then of the South Ural Military District. This work of her was marked with the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)" [1] .
In 1945, she graduated from high school No. 12 in the city of Chkalov with a gold medal and without exams entered the law faculty of Moscow State University . In 1950, she received a law degree and entered graduate school . In 1953 she defended her thesis on the topic " Responsibility for the preparation and attempt on a crime." In 1968 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic "Crime and Crime."
I stood at the origins of domestic criminology . In 1984, in a group of 5 scientists, she was awarded the USSR State Prize for developing the theoretical foundations of Soviet criminology .

Taught since 1953. She worked as an assistant, assistant professor , professor , head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, Faculty of Law, Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov . It was NF Kuznetsova who, after a 30-year period of persecution of this field of research, when criminology was declared pseudoscience and was banned, prepared and resumed a course of lectures on criminology at the Faculty of Law in 1964.

From 1985 to 1999, N.F. Kuznetsova headed the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, for a long time was a member of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University, several dissertation councils for the defense of doctoral and candidate dissertations. She made a significant contribution to the development of domestic legal science, prepared 5 doctors and more than 30 candidates of sciences.

She took a direct part in the preparation of the criminal law (Fundamentals of the criminal law of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Union Republics, the Criminal Code of the RSFSR , a number of laws). In 1990-1996, she took an active part in the implementation of criminal law reform. Being a member of the commission of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on the preparation of a draft of the new Criminal Code of Russia, she made a significant contribution to its development in the form in which it was adopted in 1996. Until recently, the research interests of Professor N.F. Kuznetsova included the problems of the General Part of Criminal Law, controversial issues of qualification of crimes, problems of international criminal law, and foreign criminal law.

He is the author of more than 250 scientific works, including the monograph “The Importance of Criminal Consequences” (1958), “Responsibility for preparing for a crime and attempted crime under Soviet criminal law” (1958), “Criminal Law and Morality” (1967), “ Crime and crime "(1969)," Comparative criminological research of crime in Moscow "(1971)," Modern bourgeois criminology "(1978)," Modern criminal law of Germany "(1981)," Problems of criminological determination "(1984), “Crime and Punishment in England , France , Germany” (19 86), “Modern Criminal Law of the USA ” (1986), “Modern Criminal Law of Japan ” (1986), “Selected Works” (2003), and others. Co-author and executive editor of numerous textbooks and courses on criminal law and criminology, comments on criminal code.

For 15 years she was elected as a deputy of the district Council of People’s Deputies of the city of Moscow and 15 years as People's Assessor of two district courts of the city of Moscow .

In 1996, she was included in the Scientific Advisory Council at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation [2] . She was the Honorary Chair of the Criminal Law and Criminology Section of the Teaching Association for Legal Education in Higher Education Institutions in Russia. Since 1995 - Emeritus Professor of Moscow State University.
Veteran of Labor, was a member of the Council of Veterans of the Law Faculty of Moscow State University.

On November 27, 2010, after a long illness, N.F. Kuznetsova passed away at the age of 82. Ninel Fedorovna left a huge scientific legacy, raised many generations of domestic and foreign lawyers - experts in the field of criminal law and criminology.
