Remembrance and Reconciliation Days for Those Who Lost Their Lives during the Second World War, Arabic مناسبة للتذكر والمصالحة إجلالا لذكرى جميع ضحايا Jornadas de Recuerdo y Reconciliación en Honor de Quienes Perdieron la Vida en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Chinese 缅怀 第二次世界大战 的 所有 死难 者 的 悼念 与 和解 的 时刻, French Journées du souvenir et de la réconciliation en l'honneur des morts de la Seconde Guerre mondiale ) - dedicated to the memory of the victims of World War II as defined by UN General Assembly resolution 59/26 [1] . Celebrated annually on May 8 and May 9 , starting in 2005 . The resolution invites UN member states, non-governmental organizations and individuals to celebrate one or both of these days (May 8 and 9) as a tribute to all victims of World War II .
