Biography
Born July 5, 1952 in the village of Krasnoarmeyskaya in the Krasnodar Territory in a military family. In 1975 he graduated from the 2nd Moscow Medical Institute. N. I. Pirogov , specialty biophysics.
From 1975 to 2005 he served in the positions of junior research assistant, officer and senior officer of the department, senior specialist and head of the group of specialists of the department of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the USSR for weapons. In December 1991, he was appointed head of the Research Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Kirov . Major General of the Medical Service ( 1993 ). Since 1993 - part-time professor, dean of the Faculty of Biology, Vyatka State University. Since 2005 - rector of Vyatka State University. On October 7, 2009, he was removed from the post of rector by the decision of Rosobrazovaniye because of the withdrawal of access to state secrets from the FSB Directorate in the Kirov Region. In November 2009, a lawsuit was filed with the Moscow City Court demanding that the dismissal be unlawful. In April 2010, the claim of Pimenov E.V. was denied [1] .
Science
Pimenov’s students defended more than 15 candidate and doctoral dissertations . He has more than 100 scientific papers, 15 copyright certificates for inventions and a number of patents. Pimenov's research relates to the field of microbiology , biotechnology , biophysics . He obtained important theoretical and applied results related to the problems of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. Based on them, for the first time it was possible to create technologies for the production of immunobiological preparations for medical and veterinary use.
