Mozilla Sunbird is a free, open-source , cross-platform application with calendar and organizer features . Developed by the Calendar Project division of the Mozilla Foundation . The version of the program, released as an extension for the Mozilla Thunderbird email client , is called Lightning . Based on the iCalendar standard. Mozilla Sunbird is a completely independent application, but at one time work was done to integrate it with the Mozilla Firefox browser and the Mozilla Thunderbird email client. Mozilla Sunbird is currently under development, with the latest publicly available version being 1.0 beta 1.

Mozilla Sunbird Portable Edition
Mozilla Sunbird, Portable Edition is a portable version of Mozilla Sunbird, specially optimized for quick launch from a USB drive . All necessary software modules and personal data are stored exclusively in the folder where the program was installed.
Description of Mozilla Sunbird
Standards Mozilla Sunbird is built on the iCalendar standard.
Common calendars. Use the WebDAV server to make your calendars available to everyone.
Extensibility. Change of themes and installation of extension modules is supported.
Using the Provider for Google Calendar plugin, Mozilla Sunbird can synchronize with Google Calendar [2] .
