Victor A. Levtov ( 1931 , Leningrad - 1990 , ibid.) - Soviet medical scientist, physiologist and hematologist, author of works on biomechanics of blood circulation.

Biography
Born in a family of Nevel’s natives - Khatskel Abramovich Levtov (1905-1938) [1] , commissar of the 119th building battalion of the Leningrad military district [2] [3] , and Leia Shmuylovna Gaytshoki (1907-1988), speech therapist by profession [4] [5] . Aunt, economist Agnessa Samuilovna Gaytshoki, after the execution of her husband, the administrator of the trust Lenghostorf Anatoly Isaakovich Leytmana (1897-1938), was sentenced to 5 years in prison [6] [7] . Their daughter Kira (later an organic chemist, author of the monograph “Thermoplastics dyeing during processing”, 1976) was brought up in the family of Leia Shmuylovna Gaytshoki with her children [8] . The nephew of a prominent pediatrician and health organizer Fani Isaakovna Zborovskaya .
Father was repressed and shot on March 14, 1938, raised by his mother. During the Great Patriotic War he was in besieged Leningrad . He graduated from the First Leningrad Medical Institute [9] . After graduation, together with his wife, he worked on distribution in the Megino-Kangalassky district of the Yakut ASSR .
The dissertation of the candidate of medical sciences on the topic “On the mechanisms of local vascular reactions to chemical irritation” was defended in 1964 [10] .
Together with S. A. Regirer, he published a number of fundamental works on the biomechanics of blood circulation, including two monographs [11] [12] [13]
