Content
Botanical description
The green plant smells like broccoli when rubbed with leaves.
Stems are straight, smooth, gray or green, grow about 50 cm long.
The lower leaves are long (up to 15 cm long), attached by the stem to the stem. Upper leaves are small; like the lower ones, they are petioled.
The flowers are attached to the top of the stem with short pedicels. Edge reed flowers.
Flower formula :
The fruit is a pod 2-4 cm long, which opens in dry weather. Brown round seeds [3] .
Spread
Southern Europe, North Africa [4] . Introduced in California [5] . It was imported to the USA from Europe.
Economic value
In some countries of southern Europe, Mediterranean cabbage seeds are used for food [6] . Cabbage stalks are also used in food [7] . Cabbage was imported to Australia, New Zealand and North America from Europe [8] .
