The Brothers Karamazov is a Ukrainian rock band . It was founded in 1990 in the city of Kiev . The name of the group was given by Yuri Shevchuk , who maintains good relations with the musicians to this day.
The most famous songs are The Little Flock and The Whole Life. The song "Good Roads" from the album of the same name became the new anthem.
In 2008, the group leader Oleg Karamazov, with the support of the Russian Orthodox Church, initiated a grandiose rock tour of 24 cities of Ukraine, dedicated to the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia . The tour was attended by the group " DDT ", "Brothers Karamazov", " S.K.A. "And the famous theologian Andrei Kuraev .
In 2009, Oleg Karamazov and Yuri Shevchuk created the MIR social movement. Within the framework of this project, large charity activities and a series of concerts are planned dedicated to the liberation of the world from the Nazis .
In 2013, a rock tour dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus was also held with the support of the Russian Orthodox Church , with the participation of S.K.A. "," The Brothers Karamazov "," Alice "," U-Peter "and" Kuban Cossack Choir ".
