History
The history of Bolshoi Kolychev dates back to the 1st millennium BC. e. In 1936, “at the lower end of the village on a slope to the Sukhoi Brook”, the Soviet archaeologist M. V. Talitsky discovered the village of Kolychevo III [2] , which he attributed to the Late Dyakovo culture of the III [3] - VII centuries [4] . However, according to A. S. Syrovatko, the vast majority of the Late Dyakovo settlements discovered in the pre-war period are in fact Old Russian settlements of the end of the 1st or the turn of the 1st – 2nd millenniums. e [5] . Thus, the dating of the village, the site of which is currently built up [6] , stretches for eight centuries.
The village of Kolychevo (in ancient times Kolychevskoye) until 1406 belonged to Fedor Ivanovich Kolych , possibly one of the founders of the clan of the boyars Kolychev [7] . Subsequently, the village was sold to Grand Duke Vasily Dmitrievich , the son of Dmitry Donskoy, who in turn bequeathed the village to his wife Sofya Vitovtovna.
During the confrontation between Ivan IV and the Crimean Khan, a large regiment was located under the village [8] .
