Team of all the stars of the female NBA

The All-WNBA Female All-Star Team is a symbolic team made up of the best players of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) , chosen from the 1997 season . Its composition is determined by voting, which is carried out by a special commission consisting of sports observers and commentators. The team consists of two five players, the first and second - a total of 10 people. Voting to determine the best takes place as follows: any voter calls his team of 10 people; the player gets 5 points for getting into the first five, and 3 points to the second five. Depending on the number of points scored, basketball players fall into the first or second team. If the points for the fifth position in the first or second team are equal, both are included in either the first or second team, respectively, therefore in the 2000 and 2014 seasons the second team consisted of six people [1] [2] [3] .

The leader in the number of entries in the team of all the stars of the female NBA is Diana Taurasi - 13 times, two more players, Lisa Leslie , who was selected ten times in a row, starting from the first year of speaking in the association, and Tamika Catchings were included in it 12 times. In addition, Taurasi holds a record for the number of hits in the first team - 10 times. Leslie joined the first team 8 times, and Tamika Catchings and Lauren Jackson - 7 times. Only 9 foreign players were included in the national team: Tisha Penisheira from Portugal , Eva Nemtsova from the Czech Republic , Janet Arkane from Brazil , Mwadi Mabika with DR Congo , Lauren Jackson, Penny Taylor , Liz Cambridge from Australia , Jonquel Jones from the Bahamas , plus Sofia Young with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines , which subsequently assumed American citizenship and, following the results of the 2012 season, she was selected to the second team already as an American [1] . Only six players included in the all-star team were later inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame : Cynthia Cooper in 2010 [4] , Lisa Leslie in 2015 [5] , Cheryl Swoops in 2016 [6] , Rebecca Lobo in 2017 [7] and Tina Thompson and Katie Smith in 2018 [8] .
