Physical Properties
Plutonium (IV) hydroxide forms a dark green or olive green amorphous precipitate of the composition Pu (OH) 4 • n H 2 O. It is polymerized during long-term storage and changes color to emerald green. Air-dried sediment contains approximately 2 water molecules.
Not soluble in water, p PR = 58. Solubility increases in solutions of sodium sulfate or sodium carbonate .
