The AllMusic music website briefly describes the Neville Brothers group as the “first family” of New Orleans , whose members worked together countless times, but joined the music group only in the 1970s. The style of the site is called “a smooth blend of R & B , jazz and blues ”. AllMusic also adds that "throughout their long careers, both as solo performers and as members of a group that bore their last name, the Neville brothers proudly carried the torch of the rich rhythm and blues legacy of their native New Orleans."
In 2005, the Neville Brothers group was included in the Hall of Fame vocal groups [2] .
