Biography
Born in the village of Vasilyevka , now in the Undorovsky rural settlement of the Ulyanovsk region in the Ulyanovsk region , in a family of workers. Russian
Since July 1918, in the service of the Red Army . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1919.
From 1918 to 1920, he participated in the Civil War on the Eastern Front .
In 1920 he participated in the Soviet-Polish war .
After the war, he continued to serve in the Red Army.
With the outbreak of World War II, Colonel Gorbunov, took the post of chief of staff of artillery of the 38th Army .
January 19, 1943 Gorbunov was awarded the title of Major General of Artillery.
November 2, 1944 Gorbunov was awarded the title of Lieutenant General of Artillery.
At the final stage of the war, Gorbunov was the deputy commander of artillery of the 1st Belorussian Front .
