History

The group was founded in Turin in the mid-1960s [1] .

In the late 1960s, the group consisted of Robi Fakkinetti (vocals, keyboards), Valerio Negrini (drums, vocals), Dodi Battaglia (guitar, vocals) and Riccardo Fogli (bass, vocals). In 1971, Negrini left [1] , but continued to write lyrics for the group until his death in 2013. The remaining three took instead the drummer Stefano D'Orazio .

In 1973, Riccardo Fogli leaves the group, who decided to start a solo career. Instead, they took guitarist, bassist and vocalist Red Kantsyana . It was in this composition that the group for 15 years was one of the best and most popular ensembles on the Italian rock scene [1] . This lineup did not change until 2009, when D'Orazio left the group. The wax figures of each of the four are set in the Wax Museum of the city of Rome.

In 1990, Pooh, along with American singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, won the San Remo Festival with the song “Uomini soli”. (They performed the song separately, in turn on different days, that is, at different stages of the competition. It is in English and Pooh in Italian.)
