Lopin, Dmitry Vasilievich

He grew up in a small farm Greeks in the Krasnodar Territory . In childhood, he dreamed of becoming a footballer, and even at the age of 14 he tried to break into the Krasnodar Kuban Academy, but could not pass the selection ^[1] . After graduating from school in 2008, he followed in the footsteps of his older brother and entered the Faculty of Shipbuilding at the Novorossiysk State Marine Academy . It was there that the teachers noticed his talent in the sprint, and after the first year of study, he fell into the group with Igor Kuzmich Pasechny ^[2] .

At first, Dmitry tried to combine training and performances for his native university in athletics and football, but ultimately he decided to run. In 2011, after only 2 years after the start of active training, he managed to fulfill the standard of a master of sports in running 100 meters - 10.53 ^[3] . In 2012 and 2013, three times became the winner of the championships of Russia among youth, twice in the winter and once in the summer.

Took third place in the 100m race at the 2014 Russian Team Championship with a personal record of 10.52. At the same distance in the summer championship of the country reached the final, where he became the seventh.

The winter season of 2015 was for Dmitry really successful. First, in a strong company, he won the Cup of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory ^[4] , and then quite unexpectedly became the champion of the country in the 60-meter race. In the final of the national championship, he managed to run according to his personal record, which turned out to be faster than the norm of a master of sports of international class - 6.69 ^[5] .
