Aliyev, Gazanfar Kerim oglu

Gazanfar Kerim oglu Aliyev was born on May 26, 1927 in the city of Ganja ( Azerbaijan ). After graduating from high school, he entered the vocational-technical railway school and graduated from this school in 1945 . In the same year, he began working in the Ganja Locomotive Depot as an assistant engineer, and since 1948, as a steam engine engineer. In 1958 , after successfully completing courses of electric locomotive drivers, he began driving electric trains along the Republic's steel highway.

Starting in 1950 , working as a locomotive engineer, G. Aliyev applied advanced train driving methods. At that time, locomotives and diesel locomotives could carry normatively 1800 tons of cargo, and sometimes it was possible to increase cargo transportation to 2500-3000 tons, in which case it was necessary to connect a pushing locomotive to the train. For the first time, a skilled driver, relying on his professional knowledge and individual experience accumulated over the years, refused a pushing locomotive, trying to rationally use fuel. Knowing perfectly the profile of the track, he applied the most optimal modes of driving trains on each section. Persistent and painstaking work yielded remarkable results. In this regard, leading railway specialists from all over the USSR began to come to Ganja in order to learn from Gazanfar Aliyev the principles and experience of driving heavy trains.

On August 1, 1959, G. Aliyev was awarded one of the highest orders of the USSR for the outstanding achievements - the Order of Lenin and the Honorary Railway Worker , and the team led by him was awarded the title of Brigade of Communist Labor.

In the early 70s , in the Ganja Locomotive Depot, steam locomotives were replaced by electric locomotives, and the carrying capacity increased from 1800 to 3000 tons. In those years, G. Aliyev, becoming the initiator, put forward a proposal to increase freight transportation and fulfilled his promise in a short time. On May 4, 1971 , raising freight to 5,000 tons, while saving several thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity, he was awarded one of the highest awards of the USSR - the Order of the October Revolution .

In 1978, Gazanfar Aliyev managed to set a new record. His partner, the driver of the Moscow Locomotive Depot, twice Hero of Socialist Labor Sokolov Viktor Fadeevich with two locomotives transported 10 thousand tons of cargo per 265 km. But Gazanfar Aliyev, without a pushing locomotive, that is, with one locomotive, transported 10 thousand 100 tons of cargo per 267 km, thereby setting a new record in the history of the railway of the USSR Ministry of Railways. Until now, this record has not been updated. For this achievement, he was named after the Laureate of the State Prize of the Azerbaijan SSR.

The driver G. Aliyev fulfilled the plan of the tenth five-year plan for 3 years 6 months, showing an example of high production labor. For outstanding success achieved in the early fulfillment of the tasks of the tenth five-year plan for the production of Industrial and Agricultural products by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR dated October 3, 1980, Gazanfar Kerim oglu Aliyev was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the gold medal " Hammer and Sickle ".

In addition, during his career Hero Gazanfar Aliyev was awarded the medal " For Labor Distinction " ( 1956 ), " For Labor Valor " ( 1963 ) and the jubilee medal " For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin ”( 1970 ). In 1963 he was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR. In addition, he was awarded various medals and diplomas of the USSR .

The talented mentor and experienced master of driving heavy trains G.K. Aliyev passed on his experience to young railway workers. He was distinguished by modesty, sensitive and attentive attitude to his workmates. He enjoyed great respect in the team. G. Aliyev took an active part in the socio-political life of Azerbaijan . From 1967 to 1971 he was a deputy of the Ganja City Council, from 1971 to 1984 he was elected 3 times in a row as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR of VIII, IX and X convocations, since 1980 he was a member of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR, XXIX Congress of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan was elected as a candidate for the Central Committee of Communist Party of Azerbaijan, and at the XXX Congress of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan was elected a member of the CC CP of Azerbaijan , he was a member of the Central Committee of the workers' Union of railway transport and delegate of the XXVI Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which was held in Mos ve February 23 1981 the year in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Gazanfar Aliyev was highly respected and had a good reputation in the country. The national leader Heydar Aliyev respected him for his professionalism, hard work and love for his homeland, as well as for respect and good reputation among the population of the city of Ganja.

On July 17, 1984, Gazanfar Kerim oglu Aliyev died at the age of 57. He was buried on the territory of the Honorary Burial Alley in the city of Ganja . He was married, had 10 children.

In the city of Ganja , a street was named in honor of Gazanfar Kerim oglu Aliyev.
