Club career

In professional football, he made his debut in 1955 with performances for the Wacker club, in which he spent four seasons, taking part in 100 championship matches. As part of the Vienna “Wacker” was one of the team's top scorers, with an average performance of 0.68 goals per championship game.

His game for this team attracted the attention of representatives of the coaching staff of the club " LASK ", which joined in 1959. He played for the Linz team for the next six seasons of his playing career. In the new club he was also among the best goalscorer, differing in goals scored on average in almost every third game of the championship.

In 1965 he returned to Wacker , for which he played 6 seasons. He completed his professional career as a football player with performances for this team in 1971.

Team Career

In 1956 he made his debut in official matches as part of the national team of Austria. During his career in the national team, which lasted 7 years, he spent 14 matches for the main team of the country, scoring 1 goal.

As part of the team, he was a participant in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden.
