Story
The film shows the story of the Gibbons family, ordinary Britons, for twenty years, from 1919 to 1939. The action begins immediately after the end of the First World War, when Frank Gibbons, who returned home after four years of trench life, decides to move his family to a more spacious house in a suburb of London. Here, each member of a large family will find their own corner, here will pass two decades of their life, filled with events, both joyful and sad ...
