Biography
Born in the family of a civil engineer. In 1948 she graduated from Leningrad State University. A.A. Zhdanova. In 1952, she defended her thesis "Language and Style of M. Gorky's" Enemies "" for the degree of candidate of philological sciences.
In 1952, she taught at the Saratov State University. N. G. Chernyshevsky (assistant, since 1954 - assistant professor). In 1970 she defended her doctoral dissertation "The Word in the Drama of M. Gorky." Since 1971, professor at the Department of General and Slavic-Russian Linguistics (since 2005, the Department of Theory, History of Language and Applied Linguistics).
In 1996, she was awarded the title of Honored Professor of Saratov University.
She was known as a researcher of the language and style of M. Gorky. She also made a significant contribution to the study of the works of Turgenev, Griboedov, Ostrovsky, Fedin, Gogol, Lermontov, Fonvizin and other writers, in the theory and methodology of the analysis of artistic speech, and writer's lexicography. Under her scientific supervision, 28 candidates and one doctoral dissertation were defended. She headed the Saratov collective of the Dictionary of Drama by M. Gorky (two volumes were published: in 1984 and 1994).
