(556) Phyllis ( Latin Phyllis , Greek Φυλλίς ) is a small asteroid of the main belt , belonging to the bright spectral class S. It was discovered on January 8, 1905 by the German astronomer Paul Goetz at the Heidelberg Observatory and is named after Phyllis , the Thracian princess from ancient Greek mythology [1]
