Ski halfpipe [1] - one of the freestyle disciplines, which is downhill skiing in halfpipe [2] . Discipline made its debut at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . David Wise became the first Olympic champion in this discipline [3] [4] .

Organization of competitions
Competitions are held in two stages: qualification and final.
In qualification, each participant has the right to make two races. The results of the qualification races are the best result. According to the results of qualification races, 6 or 12 finalists are determined.
During the descent, athletes perform a series of tricks. Judges evaluate participants' performances by setting points. The complexity of the tricks, the height and the purity of their performance are estimated [2] . The current world record for the highest jump at 7.59 m in the halfpipe belongs to Peter Olenik [6] .
