T-220 is a Soviet industrial tractor that has not gone into mass production.
Along with the T-330 and T-500 belonged to a family of cars with a front cab; work on the family began at the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant in the late 1950s, and initially the T-220 was the base model, but because of the lack of demand and switching to the more promising T-330, it did not reach the state tests. Made in the amount of three prototypes [1] .
The main problem was the excess weight of the tractor (for this traction class, which was implied by an engine power of 220 hp ), caused by the unification of a number of units with more powerful models. This and a number of other shortcomings showed the failure of the entire series (just like the series) of the most unified tractors with such a range of capacities and traction classes (from 220 to 500 hp).
