Story
The film begins with a scene where a young woman runs away from her pursuers through the streets of Istanbul . She is caught and sent to prison on charges of murder and theft of $ 14 million. Desperate to save herself, she begins her story in a series of memoirs.
From her recollections, it becomes known that her name is Hope Cassidy and she is a young computer systems analyst. She gets a well-paid job in Istanbul at Suzer International, where she will ensure the security of the network of one Russian company. She tries to persuade her friend to go with her, but he refuses, so she breaks off all relations with him. While she is talking to him in a cafe, her laptop reboots, she ignores this small incident.
The next day, during the flight, the friendly stewardess presents Nadezhda with champagne and a bracelet as a gift. As they speak, the sums on her accounts drop to zero. Immediately after arrival, she learns from an immigration officer that she has a tourist visa and she needs to visit the American consulate to renew her passport. Then she meets a taxi driver who takes her to the Sultanahmet Palace Hotel, in which, according to him, Americans like to settle. She receives the number and when she is about to go to bed, she hears an alarm, after which she finds out that she should not return to the room for almost an hour. She then meets an American known as Kelly Ross. While walking in the park, they come across a seller of scarves. When she returns to the American consulate to get a new passport, she discovers that it contains the wrong name. She finds out that her identity has been stolen. Upon arrival at the office, she discovers another Hope Cassidy, that there are $ 40,000,000 in her account, and people who want to kill her. All the people who knew her were found dead. She learns that the person she met at the beginning and Dr. Kovak are behind all this and are Russian arms dealers, as well as that the seller of the scarves and stewardess is actually from Interpol. Hope helps them catch arms dealers, but gets injured in the process. In the end, she asked the stewardess how she found her, and it turned out that a beacon was built into the bracelet, which sent her coordinates to Interpol . The last scene shows Hope flying away on an airplane.
