(1508) Kemi ( lat. Kemi ) - an asteroid belonging to the group of asteroids crossing the orbit of Mars , which belongs to the dark spectral class C. It was discovered on October 21, 1938 by the Finnish astronomer Heikki Alikoski at the Turku Observatory and named after the Finnish city of Kemi [1] .
