Geography

Located in the north of the Moscow region, in the southern part of the Pushkin district, near the M8 Yaroslavsky highway, about 5 km northeast of the center of Pushkino and 21 km from the Moscow ring road , on the Skalba River , which flows into Ucha .

In 1963, a decision was made by the Moscow Council, according to which the entire area adjacent to the village of Kostino with an area of ​​110 hectares was transferred to the main department of the building materials industry under the Moscow City Executive Committee with the aim of constructing a recreation area "Green Town", in memory of the 1930s A green city , as a result of which five five-story residential buildings were built for the employees of the town [4] .
