Pososhniki sagas ( dr. Sc . ᛒᛟᚷᛚᚢᛝᚨ ᛊᛟᚷᚢᚱ , Böglunga sögur ) is one of the “recent events sagas” telling about the civil war in Norway at the beginning of the 13th century.

At the center of the story is the participation of the Pososhnikov ( bagler ) party in the civil war that began after the death of the usurper Sverrira ; the author of the saga made a biased sample of the material, more often describing the successful actions of the Pososhniks than the victories of their opponents - birkebeiners ( beresteniks ). The action of the Sagas begins in 1202 with the election of Hakon Sverrierson as king of Norway. Thus, they are a direct continuation of the Sverrire Saga . A short version brings the account to the departure of the leader of the Pososhniks Hreidar the Messenger from Norway in 1210 , a lengthy version - to the death of King Inge Bardarson in 1217 .
Text History
A short version of the Pososhniks Sagas has been preserved as part of two compilations - The Copper Clasp (about 1300) and The Late Book from Skaulholt (about 1460). The spacious version is preserved only in translation into Danish, made around 1600. Discussions about which version was made earlier are under discussion [1] .
