Vietinbank (Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Ngân hàng Thương mại Cổ phần Công thương Việt Nam) is Vietnam 's largest bank by market capitalization. Founded in 1988, headquartered in Hanoi , in the new 70-story VietinBank Business Center Office Tower. It specializes in lending, investment, currency trading, money transfers, payment card services and deposits [1] .

A controlling stake in Vietinbank is controlled by the State Bank of Vietnam . Vietinbank also maintains close partnerships with the International Finance Corporation and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group , which own the remaining shares of the bank [2] . The largest domestic customers of Vietinbank are PetroVietnam and Vietnam Electricity [3] [4] .

It was founded in 1988 as Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank (Incombank), in 2008 it was renamed Vietinbank, and since July 2009 it has been listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange .
As of 2014, Vietinbank assets amounted to $ 27.3 billion, market value - $ 2.9 billion, sales - $ 2.3 billion, profit - $ 300 million [1] .
