Myllyn Paras is the leader in Finland for the delivery of puff pastry and pasta to the market. It also produces, sells and markets flour, cereals, cereals, and confectionery. Company History
The Finnish company Myllyn Paras is a 85-year-old family business. Founded: 12/29/1928. The company’s founders were local farmers, one of whom was Kayno Piekkari, the grandfather of the current owner and CEO of the company, Pekka Savel.
By 1953, the production capacity of the company's equipment exceeded 100 tons per day.
In 1970, the majority of the company's shares were consolidated in the hands of Mr. Mino Savel, son-in-law of the board of directors of the company Kayno Piekkari. As a result of this event, M. Savel became CEO, and the company began to be viewed as a family business.
Since the mid-70s of the last century, the company began to develop a new direction - the production of pasta and thereby increased its production volumes. In 1979, Myllyn Paras began exporting its products to the Soviet Union.
In 1988, the company began to produce frozen dough as a semi-finished product for baking, which is becoming popular not only in the HoReCa segment, but also in the retail consumer.
In 1989, Pekka Savel, a third-generation family business, was appointed CEO. While his father Mino Savel became chairman of the board.
In 2012, agricultural production was launched in Russia, in the Kursk Region, and a grain storage elevator was commissioned.
