The Knesset sixteenth election is an extraordinary parliamentary election held on January 28, 2003 . In the elections, the Likud party led by Ariel Sharon won a landslide victory.

As a result, Likud formed a coalition government with the Shinui parties Israel bah Aliyah and Ihud Leumi , while Ariel Sharon retained the post of Israeli Prime Minister.
