History
In 1942, in Perm, then called Molotov, the Molotovenergo energy department was set up, separated from Uralenergo (along with Sverdlovenergo and Chelyabenergo). In April 1953, the construction of a multi-storey administrative building for Permenergo began on Komsomolsky Prospect under the design of the Molotovgorproject (architects David Yakovlevich Rudnik and Oleg Georgievich Kedrenovsky). The main building was built in 1955, and in 1969, 1977 and 1992 extensions were made to the building.
The Permenergo building is a large five-story building with a basement and a tower on the northern corner. The main facade is decorated with a portal. The wings of the building are deployed along Komsomolsky Prospekt and Revolution Street perpendicular to it. The building stands out for large pilasters and a cornice on brackets. The total height of the building is 22 m.
On May 20, 1993, by decision of the Small Council of the Perm Regional Council No. 683, the Permenergo building was accepted for state protection as a monument of architecture and urban planning. It is also an object of cultural heritage of regional significance [1] .
