Florence Cobb was born in Houston, later her mother married an estate agent whose name Arto began to carry. She began filming silent films thanks to her husband, director King Widor , with whom she was married from 1915 to 1925.
The first contract with the studio Vitagraph Studios signed in 1916.
She divorced King Widor in 1925, her daughter Suzanna was born from marriage, and she kept her last name Widor. In 1926 she married violinist Yasha Heifetz . Her career ended with the advent of sound films.
She died in 1977 at the age of 82.
