Shinobu Hashimoto received sixteen different film awards for his screenplays, including five Blue Ribbon awards in the sixties. In 2008, Hashimoto wrote a script for the film “ I want to be crustacean ” about post-war crimes, based on the short story Tetsutaro Kato, written in 1959 and the film of the same year. The remake of the film was shot by director Katsuo Fukuzawa. The film starred Yukie Nakama and Masahiro Nakai , the music for him was written by Jo Hisaishi .
