Biography
Born in the family of a high-ranking Kaluga official Nikandr Aleksandrovich Lebedyantsev and Anna Ivanovna Lebedyantseva, daughter of the Lebanese merchant Aksenov. He graduated from Moscow University (1902) and Moscow Agricultural Institute . In 1906-1927, the director of the Shatilov experimental station . Collaborated with fellow countryman and classmate P. I. Lisitsyn .
In 1924-1931, professor at the Department of Agronomic Chemistry, head of the Laboratory of Agronomic Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University . Later he worked at the All-Russian Research Institute of Fertilizers and Soil Science (1934-1935) and the All-Russian Research Institute of Beet Field Cultivation (1935-1941).
For the first time, he established the possibility of the effective use of phosphate rock in the northern part of the chernozem zone, determined the comparative effectiveness of different types and forms of mineral fertilizers on various soils of the USSR.
The author of new methods of agrochemical research.
Doctor of Biological Sciences.
He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (2nd educational institution, 37th row).
Family
Wife Elena Vyacheslavovna. Brother Vladimir Nikandrovich (1888 -?). Sisters: Natalia Nikandrovna (1880 - 1968) - a teacher of foreign languages, Olga Nikandrovna (1892 - 1979) - a chemist by training - helped Alexander Nikandrovich in his laboratory research.
