Biography
Since birth, lives in the English city of Bath . Since her parents are Welsh by nationality, Laura represents Wales and the Swansea Harriers club at national competitions.
In junior years she was engaged in track and field athletics at the Team Bath AC club and did not stand out from her peers with her results. In 2008 she became the 3rd in the England Championship among schoolchildren, after which she began to train under the guidance of Colin Bovell from the University of Bath. Their collaboration lasted only a year and led to significant progress in the results of Laura. In 2010, she set a personal record of 53.81 and won the England Championship among youth. At this point, Maddox was forced to leave her hometown in order to study at the University of Nottingham Trent, where for 3 years she comprehended the art of photography. During this period, her mentor was Jared Deacon. Under his leadership, Lore did not succeed. Priority was given to successful learning, so at that time she did not manage to improve her results [1] .
After receiving her Honorary Bachelor of Arts degree in photography in 2013, she returned to Bath to Beauvelle. Under his leadership, she managed to quickly reach a fundamentally new level of results. In 2014, Laura sets a personal record of 52.73 at the competition in Geneva and goes to the finals of the national championship (where she occupies only 8th place) [2] . In the winter of 2015, she manages to be one of the best runners in the UK. In the finals of the national championship, she finishes second - 53.07 (which was made possible largely due to the fall of favorites Soren Bundy-Davis and Margaret Adeoje ) [3] . And after 6 days at the Aviva Indoor Grand Prix competition in Birmingham, it sets an absolute personal record of 52.32.
After these speeches, she was included in the UK team for the European Indoor Championships [4] . The first official international tournament has developed for Laura successfully. She personally qualified for the semi-finals, where she finished 6th in her race and finished 12th (53.89). In the 4 × 400 meter relay, Maddox ran the 3rd stage and helped the UK team to take 2nd place (3.31.79) and thus win silver medals.
Currently Laura combines athletics with work as a professional photographer. Her specialty is portrait shooting of sportsmen.
