The League 2003 ( lit. A Lyga 2003 ) is the 15th season of the Lithuanian Football Championship since the restoration of Lithuanian independence in 1990. It began on April 4th and ended on October 31st, 2003.

At the end of last season, “ Wind ” and “ Schwes ” went out of League I into League A. “ Gelezhinis Vilkas ” and “ Nevezis ” left the elite division, and “ Inkaras ” was disbanded before the start of the championship. The tournament started 8 clubs that played in 4 laps in the system “every with each”.
The champion got the right to start in the first qualifying round of the Champions League , and the second place club, and Zalgiris (4th place), as the winner of the 2003 Lithuanian Cup , in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup . The teams that took the third and fifth places participated in the Intertoto Cup from the first round.
