A League 2004 ( lit. A Lyga 2004 ) is the 16th season of the Lithuanian Football Championship since the restoration of Lithuanian independence in 1990. It began on April 18 and ended on November 7, 2004.

According to the results of the last season, Šilutė left the I League to A League. Sakalas left the elite division. The tournament started with 8 clubs that played in 4 rounds on a “each with each” system.

The champion got the right to start in the first qualifying round of the Champions League , and the club, which took second place, and Atlantas (3rd place), as the finalist of the 2004 Lithuanian Cup , in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup . Teams that took fourth and fifth places participated in the Intertoto Cup from the first round.
