History

It was formed in 1964 by the merger of the villages of Big Lednev (upper) and Small Lednev (lower) (the second about a kilometer south of the first). In the 1920s, there were three villages with the name "Lednev": Red Lednev (Lednev Chausovsky); Lednev Dareevsky (Lednev farm) and Lednev Lukinsky, who were members of three different village councils (according to the names). The first two were later merged into Big (Red) Lednev. According to some reports, the emergence of villages is associated with the post-revolutionary policy of "settlements" and the transfer of land allotments for personal use to landless peasants. For example, the majority of the population of the Chausovsky Lednev are immigrants from the village of Chausy , and the Lukinsky and Dareevsky from Lukin and Dareevsk, respectively. From the 1930s to 1960 in the Dareevsky Village Council. Residents were united in the collective farm "Red May" which broke up at the beginning of perestroika and the land was transferred to private hands.
